Legal Fee Calculation Method
The Legal Fee for a standard Sale & Purchase Agreement is based on Solicitors’ Remuneration Order 2023. The scale fees are as follow:
|For the first RM500,000||1.25% (subject to a minimum fee of RM500)|
|Subsequent of RM7,000,000||1%|
|Where the consideration or adjudicated value is in excess of RM 7,500,000||Negotiable on the excess
(but shall not exceed 1% of such excess)
Stamp Duty Calculation Method
In addition to Legal Fees, a buyer will also need to pay ad valorem stamp duty on the property transfer:

|RM 100,001 to 500,000||2%|
|RM 500,001 to RM1,000,000||3%|
